A school trip to the Ebro Delta takes students to one of the most important wetlands in the western Mediterranean: a natural park of rice paddies, lagoons and wild beaches where the river meets the sea. Staying with host families in Deltebre adds a linguistic and cultural immersion in direct contact with delta life.
The programme is lived outdoors: a river cruise down the Ebro to its mouth, a bike ride around the Encanyissada lagoon starting from the Casa de Fusta, an introduction to perxar — the traditional pole-punting way of navigating the delta's shallow waters —, canoeing on the river and a multi-adventure afternoon in Benifallet. The Riumar dunes and the Tancada salt pans complete the discovery of the natural park.
The pace is designed for school groups: short distances, instructors for every activity and a return to host families each evening. An ideal destination to connect nature, sport and geography in the field.
